My profile

My profile is so dynamic, because we are ever so changing- aren't we? This very moment I am focused in creating this site for my jewelry artist-entrepreneur-mommy friends. The site has a two fold purpose:

1. Share resources, information and strategies with fellow jewelry artists so that we may survive and thrive in our entrepreneurial journey.

2. Nurture the mommy part, so that using our beading skills and wisdom we may make a difference in our children's lives while working from home.

I am so glad you came to visit my site. My name is Dita.

I was born and raised in India. But I raised both my daughters in a suburb town near San Francisco named Walnut Creek. Bringing up our children in a foreign culture was challenging in the beginning and I used every resources in parenting I could.

This is when I came across the Montessori method and eventually got my credential to teach from the American Montessori Society and served as a Montessori teacher for the last twenty years.

Later, I pursued further and got my M.A. in Early Childhood Education and taught in Saint Mary's College in California. I gave some workshops and parenting classes also.

Well, I also love to bead and that was sitting in the back burner simmering for too long while I was busy with life.

With the economic condition while our school needed some down sizing, I decided it was time to think about my beading. I was fed up spending hours stuck in commuting traffic. I started dreaming about working from home so that when the muse whispers I may follow her and open my bead box.

Soon I realized that in order to do that I need to sell and that led me thinking about starting a web site.

I am not that techno savvy. I knew that bringing traffic would be an important thing even if I hire some one to make me a nice website and thirdly where would I go if I am stuck and need help?

I found the answer from another website and came to know about SBI It!

Though I trusted this site I did not jump right away. I did my research and found out that SBI It! can take care of all these three problems.

I joined. I am very happy that I took this decision. SBI It! did deliver far more than just those three solutions. Not only with in twenty four hours I get my questions answered (so far always), whenever I am stuck, from the forum, I have learned incredible amount in this one year.

You must check it out for yourself if you are thinking to work from home and considering having a web site.
